Let’s Talk About Oranges...
Of course we all know that oranges and orange juice is rich in vitamin C, but were you aware that one orange will give you more than the recommended daily intake. They also contain substantial amounts of vitamin B, thiamin, and potassium.
The foundation...
I like to use these items as a foundation for my juices both for my immune system, and as a way to keep the juices not only nutritious, but also delicious and at least palatable.
I usually vary which green veggies I use and I will often switch out the carrots with other sweet colorful veggies such as red, green and yellow peppers, to make sure I am getting all the vitamins required for mental health as well as strong immunity. Switching it up frequently ensures that I am not overloading on some vitamins and omitting others.
ON JUICING
When it comes to kids, keeping the colors bright and the taste on the sweet side eliminates the constant battle in getting them to eat all the vitamins on their plate.
Many find themselves flabbergasted at the affect a vitamin and mineral deficiency had on their child. I have been experimenting with this concept for some time and have seen dramatic results when assisting some of my own friends and family members back to health. I am however, appalled at how much resistance this engenders. The truth is, it is just simple logic. You don’t maintain your car, and it doesn’t run properly for you. Why should our bodies be any different? The real problem lies in this fact... It is not about logic, it is about emotion. Road blocks to logic is always tied to emotion. I could write a book about this... Oh wait a minute, I did write a book about this. You will have to wait for it to be published however. Trust me when I tell you, taking care of your kids nutritional needs will be a favor you give yourself.
