STRANGE, BUT TRUE



            The roots of carrot, radish and beet plants are eaten.

            A bee has 5 eyes and no ears.

            The owl sleeps throughout  the day and stays awake at night as it can see only in the

              dark.

            The frog breathes under water through its skin.

            The ant is called a ‘champion weight lifter’ because it can lift 50 times its own weight.

            Horses sleep and rest while standing. They lie on the ground only if they are not well.

            The neck of a giraffe is made of 7 bones.

            Flies and butterflies taste their food with their feet.

            The skin of the snakes and crocodiles is used to make leather.
