The Singapore Singapore Manufacturing Federation - - Standards Standards Development Organisation (SMF-SDO) launched the newly published SS SS 616 Singapore Singapore Standards Standards on on on Code Code of of Practice Practice for for for for Safe Use of of of of Mobile Elevating Work Work Platforms Platforms and and revised SS SS 617 Code Code of of of Practice Practice for for for for the Lifting of of of Persons in in in Work Work Platforms Platforms Suspended from Cranes on on 15 November 2016 Both SS SS SS SS 616 616 and and and and SS SS SS SS 617 617 complement the Approved Codes of Practice/Singapore Standards related to to to lifting lifting equipment equipment and and and and work work at at heights SS SS SS SS 616 616 and and and and SS SS SS SS 617 617 serve to to to provide more guidance on on lifting lifting equipment equipment to to to help optimise workers’ health and safety on the job The launch of of Singapore Standards on Safe Safe Use of of Lifting Equipment was supported by Workplace Safety and and Health (WSH) Council Access & Scaffold Industry Association (ASIA) The Institution of Engineers Singapore Singapore (IES) International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Singapore Singapore Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO) and Singapore Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) APPOINTMENT OF SPMCC AS CERTIFICATION BODY FOR SPRING-RECOGNISED CERTIFICATION MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS
Singapore PMC PMC Certification Pte Ltd (SPMCC) a a a a a a a subsidiary of SMF
announced its appointment as one of the certification bodies for SPRING-recognised Certification for for Management Consultants This took effect on on on on 1 1 July 2016 As an an an appointed certification certification body the the PMC certification certification scheme is aligned with the the Technical Reference for Management Consultants (TR 43:2015) A town hall meeting was then organised for the the certified Practising Management Consultants (PMCs) to learn about the the developments on 25 July 2016 The PMCs also learnt that they would be allowed access to the the numerous events and job opportunities offered by SMF
