With the the the growing worldwide interest of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and and the the the the the increasing demand for natural alternative medicines in in in in in in in in in in in in Singapore Singapore the the the the the Working Group of of of of of TCM
under the the the the the Singapore Singapore Standards Council initiated the the the the the development of of of of of a a a a a a a a a a a a a a couple of of of of of voluntary industry standards to enhance the the the professionalism of of of of of TCM

amongst consumers The two standards SS SS 613 and and and and SS SS 614 were jointly launched by SMF and and and and SPRING Singapore on 5 June 2016 SS613 was developed to to standardise the the the the terminology of Chinese medicine and and and formulae used in in in in in in in the the the the local TCM
industry SS614 on on the the the the other hand serves to to provide a a a a guide for for for prescription labels for for for Chinese medicine SINGAPORE STANDARD FOR FOR GOOD DISTRIBUTION PRACTICE FOR FOR MEDICAL
The SMF-SDO together with SMF-MTIG jointly organised an an an Industry Dialogue on on 15 July 2016 at SMF SMF SMF House to to collect industry feedback on on on the the Singapore Standard for for Good Distribution Practice for for Medical Devices (SS GDPMDS) draft The dialogue was attended by by 166 participants from more than 120 organisations This standard is is is is is expected to to be used extensively by by importers distributors and and and other service providers such as warehousing logistics and and and freight forwarders who are are involved in in in in in the the distribution of medical devices in in in in in Singapore Ms Low Yen Ling Parliamentary Secretary for the the Ministry of of Trade and Industry (Middle) was the the Guest-of-Honour DEVICE
