Welding stations
• All weld stations must have full 360˚ weld screen protection
to protect pedestrians from weld spark and arc flashes.
• All weld stations must have adequate fire extinguishers, fire
blanket, fire watch personnel and flame retardant clothing.
• The minimum fire watch after hot works is completed is 30
minutes.
• All weld stations must be kept clean and free from redundant
material to prevent fire hazards and trip hazards.
• Always check the area where you are carrying out hot works

A hot works permit is required for all welding activities.

• All gas cylinders must be secured to a suitable trolley.
• Full weld PPE must be worn when welding
• Corriboard is not a fire rated weld screen! Do not use it as a
fire screen.
