Storage of materials on site

• Storage areas must be kept neat and
tidy and material stacked and arranged
safely. Never impede access/egress

routes.
5. Housekeeping and Storage
• Use barriers to identify storage areas.
Barriers must have area owner

signage and contact details.

• Storage areas must be designated by
the area CM only.

• Materials may only be permitted in the

storage area for short duration.

• Long term storage on site is not

permitted. This is particularly important
for flammable or combustible
materials.

• Use the appropriate type of barriers to

cordon around material (plastic
internally and metal/concrete

externally).
