Senior Investment Strategist

Mr. Tanious is Principal and Senior Investment Strategist at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is
responsible for performing in-depth macroeconomic research and financial market analysis as
well as delivering customized asset allocation and investment recommendations to clients. He
is Head of the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee and a member of the Investment Policy and
Strategy Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Joe was a global market strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Before that, he worked at Wells Fargo Asset Management as Regional Director responsible for
Institutional Sales.

He is a frequent guest on Bloomberg TV and CNBC, has appeared on PBS’ Nightly Business
Report, and is often quoted in the financial press.

Joe earned an M.B.A. in finance and economics from Columbia Business School, where he was
awarded the Robert A. Toigo Foundation Fellowship, and a B.A. in economics from the
University of California, Irvine. He is a CFA® charterholder.
