FROM THE CHAIR
Dear Members;
As a new board member as of May 2018, It has been a very laborious and rewarding year. We have made some
progress on certain issues, and have raised a few new ones. Over all I am having great time, probably more then
the other board members who get to put up with my never ending list of ideas.
To date, we have done a lot of house keeping such as signs outside the fence, new receipt book, understanding the
IRS requirements, and placing new block markers. In addition, we have taken some major steps by getting a grant
form the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department to remove dead and dangerous trees. This was
complete in conjunction with our November clean up. Thank you Janeen, Scott, and all our volunteers for your
hard work.
We plan to parlay the success of the clean up and spring into other projects, such as installing a memorial flagpole,
a possible walking tour of the cemetery, and a new-old entry structure. It will take the energy and effort of us all
to make these all come to fruition.
It is an honor to be part of the association. Please understand that this association will only be sustainable if
everyone gets involved. We need you to be involved in any and every way possible. Thank you – I look forward to
an exciting 2019.
