alking down Court Street in Florence, Alabama you’ll pass dozens of historic buildings with shops and restaurants. But you may be surprised to know that
in the basement of one of those historic buildings there’s a party going on.
The Boiler Room is located in the basement of The Stricklin Hotel and it’s one of the coolest places to bowl, hang out with friends, enjoy some drinks and good food. It’s a spot for all ages until after 8pm when it’s 21 and over.
If you’re interested in bowling, you’ll do it on
vintage style lanes with the bright-
est bowling balls you’ve ever seen. You can also have some fun with foosball, skee-ball, virtual reality, and other fun games. It’s a perfect place to just let loose and have a good time.
The night we were there we were able to enjoy an incredible live
performance by Jack Settle and Emily Daniel from Nashville. The live music just makes the
vibe of The Boiler Room even better, and takes the excitement levels up a few notches.
The simple menu includes
a variety of choices great for any- one. We opted for appetizers and enjoyed the fried pickles, chicken tenders, and loaded fries. The pick- les were perfecly tart and crispy, and the ranch was to die for, y’all! The chicken tenders were moist and crispy with the perfect honey mustard for dipping. And, of course, those loaded fries were paradise
in our mouths. They were smoth-
ered in a mixture of melted cheddar and Gruyère cheese. Then the bacon chunks send it off
the charts.
The Boiler Room has something for every- one and it’s the perfect tourist experience and local hangout. It’s a place where fun is always had by all.
