The more open-minded you are, the greater is your possibility of enjoying the beauty and fragrance of owers blooming in others’ gardens as well.
The teachings of Christ are expressions of a life that is enlightened by Cosmic Consciousness. The characteristics of the life of a Jivan Mukta (one who is liberated in life) or of a sthita prajna (one who is steady in wisdom) are well portrayed in the life and teachings of Christ and illustrated with particular beauty in these Beatitudes. While in a Jivan Mukta the spiritual qualities of the head and heart are as spontaneous and effortless as the aroma of a ower, in the case of an aspirant they are to be developed with effort, persistence, patience, and spiritual understanding.
With this in mind, let us venture into the Beatitudes of Lord Jesus to enjoy their unique owers of wisdom.
I. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
