even bitter and condemnable. Most people just wish for prosperity because they don’t have the ability to utilize adversity to their advantage. However, adversity has a most important message and is especially needed for one’s evolution.
If you have attained that profound understanding of adversity, you are enriched by both prosperity as well as adversity. Ideally, prosperity should relax your mind so that you turn your gaze towards God, Who is the Source of all prosperity. Similarly, adversity should encourage your mind to re ect. In adversity, you turn away from the world and begin to contemplate within. It is then that you realize you have a Support that has always been present, unlike anything in the world—the Support of the Divine Self, God.
When this realization manifests, you have discovered the Salt of Life, and you are able to relish life even during adversity. That doesn’t mean that you should create adversity, but accept adversity and prosperity as they spontaneously and meaningfully occur within your life. Although God’s plan is designed for nothing but prosperity, human mind often interprets what is really prosperity as adversity. You may argue, “How can that be? Life is full of problems and worries.” The answer is that the human mind perceives circumstances according to ego’s values rather than from a higher perspective. Certain
