Divine Self converts the “water” of physical life (the vital forces) into the “wine” of spiritual life.
The Miracle of Spiritual Transformation
While visiting His native land of Nazareth, Jesus went to the synagogue, according to the custom, and gave a sermon, reading from the old texts of the Bible. He spoke about how the prophecies of ancient times had been ful lled through His personality. This greatly irritated the people of His native land. They could not believe that one among them, a mere carpenter’s son, could rise to such lofty heights of spiritual consciousness and then declare it. They intended to destroy Him by throwing Him off a towering cliff. However, Jesus quietly went on His way after stating, “A prophet hath no honor in his own country.” (KJV John 4:44)
The mystic implication of this episode is very profound. Spiritual movement is characterized by a series of transformations. A caterpillar is transformed into a butter y. Thus transformed, it no longer belongs to the family and the homeland of the caterpillars. It  ies away, enjoying the beauty and elegance of many gardens, something it never would have imagined had it remained a caterpillar.
In the same way, aspirants begin as caterpillars. They have no idea what sublime spiritual gardens await them through the exalted advancement of the soul. In the beginning, they only know Caterpillar
