September 17, 2019 - Osteoporosis
According to Osteoporosis Canada, “Osteoporosis is a
disease characterized by low bone mass and
deterioration of bone tissue.” This weakened bone is
more easily broken or fractured; the spine, hip, wrist,
and shoulder are most at risk. This bone loss occurs
without symptoms, and many people don’t realize they
are affected until it is too late, so the key is prevention!
Our clinic has a particular interest in osteoporosis as
we believe the strength of the body can challenge this
disease. We have seen the disability that is associated
with progressive osteoporosis and have designed
programs specifically for those who want to minimize
the effects of osteoporosis.
