Early the next morning the Genius ap
peared ; “ Sir,” said he, “ your palace
Is finished, come and see if it is as
you wish.” Then in a moment Aladdin
found himself transported thither j he
found it far more beautiful than even
he had hoped for, and perfect in every
part* “ Genius,” said Aladdin, “ there
is one thing left to be wished for j and
that is to have a carpet of the finest
velvet, laid from the Sultan’s gate up
to this door, for the Princess to walk
upon.” And in a moment it was done.
