ARTICLE IV.
OFFICERS
Section 1. Officers
The initial officers of the organization shall be as follows:
President:
Vice President:
Recording Secretary
Treasurer
Foundation Chair
Parliamentarian
Section 2. Duties of Officers
A.
1. The President shall preside at each Senior Teen meeting and shall serve as
ex-officio member of all committees except the Nominating Committee;
may recommend regional teen appointees for approval by the Regional
Director
They shall serve as spokesperson and interpreter of the work and philosophy
of the organization and the community. The President shall serve as the
delegate at Teen Conference.
2. The Vice President, in the absence of the President shall be vested with the
power to perform the duties of the President.
3. The Recording Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings
of the meetings.
4. Under the direction of the Senior Teen Sponsor, the Treasurer shall keep
accurate records of Senior Teen funds.
5. The Foundation Chair shall recommend fundraising activities that support
Teen Foundation quotas.
6. The Parliamentarian shall be the resource person for proper parliamentary
procedures. The governing documents will include the National bylaws,
chapter bylaws and Robert’s Rules of Order in the event the bylaws are
silent.
Section 3. Teen Elections:
1. Teen officers for chapters should have the same election deadline dates
as the mothers.
2. Regional Teen Elected Officers and Teen Appointees must be active in Jack
and Jill of America, Incorporated for one (1) full year prior to election and
appointment. Officers must remain active participants during their term. Active
is defined as attending meetings and participating in local chapter teen
activities.
