throughout the text! Many employees become frustrated and confused
about their benefits and, all too often, happiness turns into a sour
attitude. These frustrations are often fueled by several factors, which
include but are not limited to:
Procedures that may seem outdated or antiquated.
Knowing a more efficient way to solve a problem but
government procedures and red tape get in the way.
The often worse than the
original problem you are trying to solve.
Not being rewarded with a promotion you know you deserve
because of seniority status.
Having to take up the slack from a co-worker that simply does
not do their job.
All in all, most employees we have polled will state that their
government career is rewarding and provides the challenges they seek on
a day-to-day basis. Although there are some disadvantages (what career
al
government is one of the best career paths anyone could take. Like
anything in life, most of us tend to take things for granted. We get
spoiled--especially in this great country--we are privileged. Just ask
someone living in Haiti! There are other opportunities that seem, at
times, better than the government employment option. If the time ever
comes that you make the decision to leave your government career, take
the time to review all of the facts before you make that final and
sometime irreversible decision. Here are the facts:
