With the goal of CENTER FOR SCIENCE AND INNOVATION
Building upon the success of our STEM and Science Research Program,
which allow students to conduct authentic, independent research, the new
Center for Science and Innovation will offer 5,500 square feet of modern,
dedicated space, empowering students to innovate and lead in science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics. This dynamic space will attract
the brightest minds to Laguna—both students and teachers.
You won’t have to land on Mars to discover what the environment might
feel like. In the new biology and chemistry labs, atmospheric chambers will
allow students to perform ongoing research about universes well beyond our
campus. In our Robotics & Engineering classroom, a dedicated work space
will give students everything from 3D printers to power tools to fabricate and
test solutions to pressing challenges in robotics, engineering, and project-
based computing. A new physics lab will feature PASCO Scientific Stations
for collecting experimental data and traditional lab facilities for conducting
project-based learning. Outdoor research areas will complete the revitalized
space, validating our commitment to environmental stewardship and offering
students hands-on learning experiences in marine biology and environmental
science.
million we will establish the Center
for Science and Innovation. The Center for Science and Innovation will:
Revitalize classrooms: biology & chemistry labs, robotics & engineering
space, outdoor research areas, physics lab, and a teacher innovation lab.
Transform our facilities to enrich our project-based learning opportunities.
Ensure that curiosity and innovation remain at the heart of our science
program.
