But of all the spots Shanghai owns, perhaps the most important icon of the city is the skyline of Lujiazui. Sitting directly across the Huangpu River from the bund, this new district is meant by the state to be the international financial centre of China. The Lujiazui region has various modern skyscrapers that you can admire. The iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Centre, and the Shanghai Tower are those of the many that you can easily recognize. This region which is dedicated to being the most important CBD in China was planned in very high detail since the 80s. which results in the orderly transportation system and the densely concentrated office building group. The importance of Lujiazui can especially be observed with the station of Shanghai Stock Exchange in the heartland of the region. You can visit countless high-end restaurants and hotels in this highly urbanized district.
