Staff Development Process
These are voluntary staff development opportunities to allow staff to earn 7 hours of personal
professional development as stated in the negotiated agreement (Section 4.04). If you earn the 7 hours
of personal professional development outside the contracted day, then you will be able to be excused
from the April 2, 2018 staff development day. There are additional options for earning the 7 hours of
personal professional development outside the catalogue (see the voucher credit request form). The 7
hours must be completed between March 1, 2017 and February 28, 2018 to be excused from the April 2,
2018 staff development day. Hours will not be rounded up, however, you may earn more than 7 hours
of personal professional development. The hours earn is equivalent to the total duration of the staff
development opportunity.
All staff members must use the link provided to register for staff development opportunities. It is
important to check the topic/competency/audience, location and time. Some offerings are targeted for
specific populations. We will adhere to class limits. Though most classes will be filled on a first come,
first served basis, some classes may be filled based on teaching assignment.
You will receive an email if a course is cancelled due to low registration.
