INTRODUCTION
I am so excited that you are ready to take this journey into the world of beauty. Throughout the years, I have learned makeup can be the most rewarding job. Transforming someone's face and seeing their reaction is always such a special feeling.
Growing up, I had a burning desire to help, inspire, and impact people. But I was a shy person who also struggled in school, and I ultimately felt like being 'successful' was so far out of reach.
When I was in high school my appendix ruptured and I was on life support for several weeks in the ICU at SickKids Hospital. A month later, I left in a wheelchair and weighed less than 80 pounds. I had developed a condition called 'Horner's Syndrome,' which meant the nerves in my left eye were damaged from the medicine and IVs in my neck.
The only real thing that made me feel beautiful was putting on makeup. I was fascinated at how makeup could be such a powerful tool; one that began giving me my confidence back. Within the year, my eye had healed, and I was back up and running. From that point on, putting on makeup became a part of my daily life.
After graduating from CMU College, I made it my mission to be a "hustler". I was assisting under everyone and anyone, constantly setting up TFP (trade for print) photoshoots and doing makeup on myself and friends during my spare time. I've learned quickly in this industry if you want something, you have to chase after it. Set your goals, and have an intention on where you see your life and what area you want to work on as an artist (TV, Bridal, Fashion, Content Creator, etc.).
