BRAND PARTNERSHIPS
Pricing for a Static Post:1000 -5000 = $150-200/post
If you have around 1000-5000 followers, you can expect $150-$200 per post. The more followers you have, the higher you can make your rates. Do research to find out what you should charge (there is standard Influencer pricing).
Know Your Worth: Brands often take advantage of smaller influencers, so it’s important to have rates and know your worth. Set your standards high. If a brand wants to work with you and they ask for multiple pieces of content and they ask for a rate that is way below your budget, suggest removing some content in order for it to be fair to you.
Engagement Rate: Standard Rate = 2-3%
A standard Instagram Engagement Rate is 2-3%. To find out what your engagement rate is, divide average likes + comments by your following number. Brands want to know if you have an engaged audience, otherwise it is unlikely that you will land partnerships.
Go above and beyond: Be professional by meeting deadlines, and being respectful. Provide brands with a report (or repost) on how their paid content did (screenshot your Insights). Always follow up and thank them as this is important for maintaining a good relationship.
NEGOTIATING
Usage rights: This is typically included in any contract, meaning the client can use your images.
Exclusivity: Make sure you are getting compensated for exclusivity. For example, “You aren’t allowed to use another lipstick for 4 months on your Instagram.” You need to be compensated for the lost work in between that time. Revisions: Ensure that you only give one revision, and that it was something that they are not just about being “picky”.
Termination: If a client cancels your contract after you have done the work, they have to pay you anyway.
