Step 3: Lime, Fertilizer and Gypsum
Once we receive the soil test results, we immediately start building a nutrient plan based on the initial testing. Our nutrient plan involves the use of three of the most beneficial nutrients available –Lime, Fertilizers (N-P-K), and Gypsum.

we have in our arsenal, keeping all work in-house to ensure the quality of work is kept to our standards. We have partnered with a lime vendor providing the most potent lime available, with an ENM rating of 700 (the average ENM rating of lime is 300-400). In essence, our lime is able to neutralize the acidity in the soil in half the time, using half the amount of lime as most pelletized lime that operators use.

variable rate the N-P-K application to fit specific soil conditions and requirements, making sure we do not over spread fertilizer in any specific area. This is something that most operators don’t take the time to do, and instead flat rate fertilizer, which can be just as detrimental as not spreading any fertilizer at all!

which allows any rain fall to soak in to the soil instead of running off –giving your crops (especially on hill ground) the ability to absorb and utilize every ounce of water it receives during the growing season and limiting erosion. Most operators do not have the infrastructure to haul and spread Gypsum, but it is something we find to be absolutely essential to help yield increase across non-irrigated farms.
