WRITING PROCESS

WRITING. On a separate sheet of paper, write a short report about a dangerous or
frightening event.

Some years ago, while my 8-year-old cousin, who was with my father at his work in
a store. They both were just spending time listening to music and having a
conversation and having a normal day but suddenly, a man who got a kind of mental
disease, came into the store threatening people with a knife. He was a tall and fat guy,
he was like 35 years old and he was known in his neighborhood as “the crazy man”.
This man was yelling at everybody in the store, he had an aspect really frightening.
All the people got out of there when they saw that the man was holding a knife, but
my dad and my cousin stayed there because they were in shock and they couldn´t even
say something. The man took a hammer that was in the store and he moved closer my
cousin and my dad just took him away as faster as he could and then he shoved the
big man away too.

This guy got so crazy and furious that was near to stab my dad but he quickly pushed
away from the man’s arm and then he took a bat trying to make him get out of the
store. The man was really angry and he was near to fight my father but suddenly, my
uncle and cousins appeared to help my dad and make the man run away from there.
Some minutes later the police arrived and they asked for the man and of course, my
dad gave them all the information they could need in order to find a resolution for the
incident so that they went were able to find him and took him into custody. When
everything finally ended, my father realized all that had happened and he couldn´t
believe that he was not afraid of a crazy man with a knife in his hand. In fact, this

incident made news in the local newspapers in our city, Baños.
