MagiKats English
A good command and understanding of English language, both oral and written, is proven to aid children in their studies across the curriculum.
Some students may never achieve their potential as a direct result of poor language skills.
MagiKats English is a fully comprehensive English programme, with schemes of work linked to the UK National Curriculum and National Literacy Strategy. The English programme can be divided broadly into the following categories:
• Word structure, spelling and vocabulary
• Speaking, listening and oral response
• Reading, understanding and responding to texts • Sentence structure and punctuation
• The author’s craft
• Creating and shaping texts
• Language and presentation
The programme incorporates a wide range of short, and extended, tasks designed to build up knowledge and skills that will aid students across the curriculum.
