 NUTRTION/LIFESTYLE
through it myself.
I have come across a great book on relationships. It’s called How To Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie. I call it a game changer, and here are some key takeaways on how to better connect with people. 1. Become interested in others-The beginning of that first year I was so worried about myself, I didn’t show much interest in others. 2. SMILE, it matters. 3. Learn everyone’s name-Still working on that even now in my life! 4. Be a good listener and encourage others to talk about themselves. 5. Talk about their interests. 6. MAKE THEM FEEL IMPORTANT. After reading this it hit me. I was always so worried about myself and the pressure to perform at such a high level that it kept me from making connections with others. Learn from me, the more normal you feel the better you will play. Once I could be myself, make friends, joke around and loosen up, it showed in the box score, and in my day to day life.

EXERCISE YOUR BODY AND MIND: What’s in your pantry? Take inventory of what you eat, do those foods fuel your body and mind? Think of ways you can improve your eating habits, and talk to your family about it. Come up with a list of what snacks you would put in your carry-on, I’d like to know, and maybe I’ll try some. Finally are you guilty of keeping your emotions in? Releasing those feelings will give you a sense of freedom. Write down questions or concerns that are weighing you down, and let's discuss. I am here for you, let’s go!
