Safety – Recommended Triggers for Reporting to the RYA
Attention is drawn to recommended triggers for reporting accidents or
injuries.

The RYA encourages reporting if an accident or injury involves any of the
following:
• Fatality
• Hospitalisation required
• Statutory reporting to the MAIB
• If useful lessons can be learned
• If in doubt

This is mandatory if the accident or injury involves:
• An RYA organised racing event
• An RYA organised racing activity (including coaching and training)
• An RYA Recognised Training Centre
