Message from the Chairman

Déjà vu …

Last month we shared the warmth, happiness and authenticity of the Awards Ceremony in

London. Last week, in Johannesburg we honoured the South African winners.

Discovery hosted the SA Chamber UK in their ‘Green’ building in Sandhurst. We were
welcomed by Dr Ayanda Ntsaluba, executive director of Discovery who rekindled a friendship

with one of the Chamber Directors who was visiting from KZN.

The event again was warm, authentic and an excellent networking experience.

South Africa has announced the election date for 29 May. This election is stated to be the
most pivotal since 1994, but one that is difficult to call.

Over the next two and half months we will be having talks from various eminent speakers
on the global and South African economies, including the various factors in play.

Our flagship event is the Gala Dinner on 19th June, tables are being snapped up well
in advance, and we expect a waiting list to develop. Tables are the theme of this year’s
bookings; an opportunity for companies to entertain customers and stakeholders to a little

bit of traditional South Africa, in the heart of London’s financial centre. Please make sure
you act now to secure your table or seats.
