                                                As  I  step  down  from  this  leadership  role,  my

            COMS Abroad                      11  When I stepped into the role of Department Chair, I had wide eyes and a
                                                lot of confidence to serve the department with all that had and with all

                                                time. I am humbled to have worked so closely with the COMS Office Staff
                                                and the Dean’s Office, to have an opportunity to advance a short-term,
                                                but essential assistant debate coach position for the Speech and Debate
                                                Team,  to  support  Performance  Ensemble  with  reassigned  time  for
                                                program development, and to share speech competition ideas with other
