PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION & DELIVERY
The students at ABF Learning Center are the target for 4WRDMIA’s project. 4WRDMIA seeks to enhance the lives of the students at ABF by promoting a holistic approach to education through wellness, recreation, and development. This will help create a learning environment that enables mindfulness, creativity, growth, and playfulness.
The outdoor garden and learning center will create a space where students can connect with nature, learn where the food comes from, and take time to appreciate the outdoors with seating areas, shade, and room to play.
The serenity room will create a space that allows children to take a deep breath when they are dealing with anxiety and or trauma. This will allow for a safe environment to refocus, learn to control their emotions and return to learning with a clear mind.
Finally, the yoga/meditation space will create a new area for the students to engage in a program designed to teach them how to connect their body, mind, and soul through yoga poses and breathing techniques.
All three new environments will have positive impacts on the children in their school environment and teach them how to take what they have learned and apply it to their home life and young lives moving forward.
