CUSTOMER NEED: INSIGHT THREE
”DIFFERENT SIDES OF ME”
Participants have a strong desire to enrich the many different facets of their lives and themselves as individuals. They seek growth, learning and development. They want to do more in life, and so do their families.
Participants believe that through MDS, they have been given opportunities that they would have never otherwise thought possible.
They believe that the MDS programs have, and will continue, to develop them into the people they aspire to be.
In particular, participants in Pathways to Employment and Mental Health desire to develop capabilities that will help them be job-ready, expose them to new real-life experiences and be an active participant in the community capable of engaging and doing things as everybody does.
POSSIBLE IDEAS AND CONSIDERATIONS WHEN DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS
• Work Experience: Some family members feel that their children are not getting sufficient real-life experiences through MDS programs. They would like more practical training in life-skills (depending on their individual requirements and growth paths). There is an opportunity for MDS to play a role in provide participants with a variety of employment opportunities and give participants a chance to try everything once.
• Learning pathways: There is an opportunity for MDS to play a role in providing a continuous learning pathway for participants. There is longevity in the participant’s ‘journey’ and MDS can play a continuous role in helping participants achieve a fruitful and wholesome experience.
There is an element of longevity when it comes to supporting participants. MDS can play a role to ensure participants have a fruitful and wholesome experience.
