A Vision for XXXXX P/L Idea to Execution Process
Ideas
XXXXX P/L acknowledges that good ideas can come from anywhere – from the most junior worker, the administrator, engineers, to the general managers and executives. The best ideas come from opening up the idea generation process to the most diverse sources available. The challenge for organisations is to create a mechanism that captures and filters these ideas and, not only that, has the capacity to turn those ideas into action and tangible value.
Innovation that involves harvesting ideas from across every layer of an organisation. The reason for this is that innovation relies on the collision of ideas from diverse sources. It relies on a continuous flow of new ideas.
XXXXX P/L has achieved numerous project success with its current Idea Register framework. The reasons these projects are cited as successful are because they produced a sound business case with management support, achieved clear results and had buy in from staff/team. We would like to keep the essence of this, streamline and automate the processes where possible while embedded a cross functional collaborative process.
Leverage Technology to Evolve the Ideas Register
We recommend the future XXXXX P/L Ideas Register will leverage technology to evolve better ways to become a centralised, digital hub for sharing, contributing, and filtering ideas
• It becomes an interactive, transparent, digital experience that breaks down silos and hierarchies and democratises innovation. This has a profound positive impact on the cultivation of innovation culture
• It significantly reduces the administrative burden on the Steering committee. Ideas are submitted digitally into the platform and contributed, in a transparent and interactive manner. Ideas are filtered and messages communicated through the platform from management are visible to all staff and no duplication of communication is necessary.
