DEVELOPMENT
Miller’s Glen opening
The Iveagh Trust opened 28 new homes in
Miller’s Glen in May. The Trust first established
a presence in Swords in 2005 with the opening
of our Applewood Estate. This was the first
expansion outside the Trust’s traditional Dublin
city-centre heartland.
The opening was notable for the use of the
ceremonial sword that belonged to the Trust’s
founder Sir Edward Cecil Guinness. What better
way to mark the event than a sword in Swords!
Our Chairman Rory Guinness, Fingal Mayor
Howard Mahony, and Minister Darragh O’Brien
were in attendance.
The addition of the latest homes in Miller’s Glen,
adds to the 14 built previously. This brings the
number of Iveagh Trust homes at Miller’s Glen to
42 in total.
The Trust now has over 150 homes in Swords and
more are expected to be delivered in the coming
years.
Our team of estate managers and caretakers
provide a dedicated estate management service
7-days a week, 365-days-a-year.
Estate Manager, Peter Fenlon, lives in our
Applewood estate with his family since 2005, and
is a key part of the community here.
