THE SECOND UK
LOCDOWN
As hairdressers prepare for a second lockdown
Rememberence Sunday comes around again.
Councils aross the land have displayed the wood
cutouts of a returning soldier. Painted black and
placed next to war monuments. They are such
simple works of art yet standing next to one there
is a feeling that it is a returning wandering soul
that never came back from the trenches. Art is
wonderful.
How long will this second lockdown last?
Boris says 4 weeks and we can all have a normal
Christmas with family and freinds. I suspect that
if a vacine is not available in Dcember along with
the cold weather expected from January to April
we could see another Lockdown in January.
During lockdown could be the time that
salon owners need to work their hardest. Keep
in touch with your staff and clients daily. Your
staff are being paid on furlough, there is work
that they can do from home for the benefit of the
business. As a salon owner create promotional
online webinars showing styles and colours that
you will be doing when you reopen. Create a
blog on your website for interaction with your
clients. Listen to their posts and see what you can
do to help. Arrange to deliver product bundles to
generate sales during lockdown. Above all keep
in contact. Lockdown is a time when both staff
and clients think of moving on.
