NATURAL BASE

SHADE 1: BLACK.

Clients natural shade Pre bleach to a level 5 Target shade 5.5
1. Black light mahogany brown

What needs to be done? To achieve a target shade of 5.5 on a natural base 1. You will have
to first pre bleach the hair to lift the natural base shade 4 shades to a 5. Then apply the taget
shade 5.5 to the pre bleached hair.

formula.

To mix the bleach to lift 4 shades you will need the following formula:
1 scoop of powder bleach
4 ounces of 9% (30) volume peroxide
1 scoop of salon shampoo

Bleach application:
It is essential to work at speed. Using a sponge to apply the bleach within half a centermetre
from the scalp.Once all the hair is covered keep combing while the hair is lifting this will en-

sure that the bleach eventualy reaches the scalp giving an even colour from root to ends.Once
the hair reaches a level 5 wash it off.

Colour application:
Mix half a tube of 5.5 with warm water and apply quickly with a sponge. Leave for

20 minutes to pre pigmentate Then mix the other half of 5.5 with 6% (20 volume) peroxide
and apply with a brush using normal sections applying the colour from root to ends. Comb
through and wait 40 minutes and wash off.
