Diamond plait, diamond hitching or continuous diamond knotting: can

               be used to form a covering for any cylindrical object. It is comprised of one
               diamond knot on top of another. The plait can be formed by including
               both single and double diamond knots, and a tighter effect created by
               making crowns between the diamonds; see also diamond knot.
