Double stevedore knot: a helpful knot for anglers to remember, when
using gut or nylon and needing that little extra bit of knot strength.
Take the line around the ring twice: this is what provides the additional
strength. Then take back the line along its standing part, twisting it
around both itself and its standing part five times, before passing it
through the turns (figure 54) on the outside of the ring.
