Since 1997 when Bergdorf Goodman
launched our first collection, we’ve
been creating the most beautiful floral
arrangements, orchids and plants,
and not one of them has ever wilted!
Our designs look so real, they are the
accessory of choice for top designers
such as Michael Smith, Celerie Kemble
and Phoebe Howard. Diane developed
her passion for flowers while living
in Europe, mastering the art of floral
composition in England and France.
She turned to “faux” in the 1990’s when
asked to create lasting arrangements
for her clients’ vacation homes, and
perfected her signature “just-from-the-
garden” style. With the help of her twin
daughters, Carolyn and Cynthia, Diane
designs seasonal collections inspired by
the latest home décor trends. In 2014,
we launched BLOOMS by Diane James,
the “luxury for less” collection –
a beautiful, lower-priced complement to
our couture line.

Like Mother Nature, our designers have
the innate ability to coax a bloom from
a tight bud and bend an orchid stem so
that it falls with natural grace from its
bamboo stake. This attention to detail,
combined with our choice of the finest
materials, enables us to create the
most realistic bouquets and plants. Our
passion for floral design is captured in
every step of the process so you know
your arrangements are handmade with
love in our Connecticut studio.
