“Participating in Kids Worship has been a blessing. Amy and I have the opportunity to teach kids the word of Jesus based on the wonderful lesson plans provided to us by Scioto Ridge. However, I did not realize how much I would personally benefit from participating in Kids Worship. The lesson plans set forth very basic principles presented in a way that is easy for the kids to understand. As adults, I think we often forget or overlook some of these most basic principles so it’s really beneficial to hear these messages periodically with real world connections. In addition, we expect our children to easily implement these teachings into their lives but when you hear these messages as adults, you realize how hard some of the teachings can be to honor as adults. For example, one week we taught the kids to do nice things for others even when they do mean things to you. Think about how hard this concept is for adults to follow.
If our kids are truly to learn and implement these lessons, we adults need to set good examples for them. Participating in Kids Worship is a good reminder of this important concept. Bottom line: participating in Kids Worship can be just as beneficial for the teachers as it is for the children.” -Chris Swank
