fellow servants. Help to plan and drive for these afternoons are always needed.
By opening our hearts and minds to these teens, we can easily see that they are capable of great emotion and passion. The church is a welcoming environment for the youth. Our goal is to always make the church feel like a second home. It is so important to support this group. They are exceptional people and need role models to exemplify living a life with Christ.
In 2019-2020, Youth Ministries will Serve As One by:
• Developing disciples and relationships that will extend beyond the walls of the church to schools.
• Creating a more comprehensive worship service for the youth.
• Seeking opportunities inside and outside of the church to serve.
• Recruiting, equipping, and empowering adult servants to lead YF for discipleship.
• Developing high school servant leaders to walk alongside and mentor others in YF.
*If you are interested in learning about or serving in any capacity involved in Youth Ministries, please contact Charlie Prior at charlie@srumc.org.
SERVING AS ONE
2019-2020
“One Sunday in September, a new girl arrived as we were beginning YF. She had participated with the youth VBS activities that summer, but this was her first time at YF. She walked in slowly but lit up as soon as she saw a familiar face. As more students trickled in, she looked up and said, ‘I didn’t think I’d know anybody. This is great!’ Our youth program, like the rest of Scioto Ridge, is creating new connections within our community every time we meet.” -Charlie Prior
