 SERVING AS ONE 2019-2020
  SERVING AS ONE
MINISTRY PLAN 2019-2020
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
One may have a talent and the patience for teaching
the most rambunctious of children. Another the gift of listening to and comforting those suffering in the midst
of a life altering crisis. While another has the ability to organize a supply closet in three minutes flat. The simple fact is that people are different. We are each created with a very unique set of instructions meant to fulfill a real and meaningful life purpose.
We at Scioto Ridge are the Body of Christ. Paul says there are no useless or unimportant parts in this body.

Romans 12:4-8
We are made up of individuals with varying spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personalities, and experiences. We are people of diversity and yet united. All the gifts
of the many are given by grace, and we fit together in a beautiful, harmonious puzzle that when complete allows others to see God’s Kingdom in action.
Each person has an important role to play in fulfilling our mission to Seek the Unchurched, Nurture Disciples, and Transform the World. Though there are many places to serve and many parts to play, we serve as one Body.
