 Atropa belladonna
 Solution
See repertorisation I made below.
The presence of belladonna in: ‘Rage from forcing to take medicines’ supported my choice of belladonna. This was not because I was convinced that the Bravecto played a role but because the owner alluded to this so many times.
Of course, belladonna wants to bite: after I asked several times to describe the attacks; it did strike me he only wanted to bite: there was not the typical cat claws and teeth attack at all.
The improvement was quite clear following the remedy. The owner thanked me several times regardless of the death of Puff. How we have to interpret the death is another matter.
My take on this is that we do not know the seriousness of the heart disease in this case (a referral had been considered). It may well be that a heart arrest was due any time... and that the treatment has made the end ‘better’. We also cannot be sure that the Bravecto plays a role in this. Even though I used the ‘consequence from medications’ symptom to decide on the remedy, that does not mean the Bravecto was to blame. Was there a better prescription possible that would have ‘saved him’? Should I have detoxified for the Bravecto? Was the dilution too high, was the remedy suppressive?
I would be interested in reading the comments from my colleagues on this case in the next edition of the magazine.
  Regional Meeting – Oswestry
Saturday 21 April saw a small but very enthusiastic group of us in Oswestry at Barbara Jones farm and holistic practice for a BAHVS regional meeting. We had travelled from as far south as Carmarthen and north as far as Lancashire to meet up with Chris Day and Barbara.
It was great to have a day with Chris to be able to ask him questions and learn from his massive knowledge as so often we only get an hour or so at the conferences to hear him talk.
We covered a wide range of topics from general homeopathic principles to individual cases that we were wanting help with.
Chris gave us some great tips on how he used homeopathy in general practice even in 15 minute consults and on farm on routine visits and fertility examinations.
We had a delicious lunch of soup, cheese, eggs, bread and freshly picked salad leaves all produced organically on Barbara’s farm washed down with lots of cups of tea or coffee!
It was very reassuring meeting up with like minded vets and discussing not only cases but also the current climate for homeopathy and I think we all drew strength from each other that we weren’t out there totally on our own in practice. We all agreed that we would very much like to go to other regional meetings and keep up the contact. Jane Spreull
