TRAINING FOR LIBRARIANSHIP

persons or the young, the library will, there-
fore, not only be the workroom but also the
     museum of the Sunday school.
        The Sunday-school librarian should have
in addition to a knowledge of the mechanics
of library science, a good training in religious
education. Such training may be obtained
from courses in a university or theological
      school, or through teacher-training institutes
or courses in religious education in the com-
munity in which the student resides. A
knowledge of the fundamentals of Sunday-
      school organization and management, and,
even more important, a thorough Biblical
      background are indispensable.
