organization and the Veterans were there. It was very positive from all facets. VetMotorsports was just looking for people to help them out and I said sure, that I’d
be more than happy to. I wasn’t competing until the afternoon so I had all morning to dedicate to coaching the Veterans. It just so happened that both times I ended up coaching the Veterans, I was already at the location preparing to compete myself. I am a 12-Time National Autocross Champion, and I also do a lot of coaching and instructing with companies that actually have paid students that come to do this.
To me this time in my life is about giving back. I feel like it is a time to develop the next generation to become involved in our sport. I am really proud to have been involved with VetMotorsports, and I hope our relationship continues into the future.
If I can make a little bit of a difference for each Veteran and help return them back to where they came from, and also let them know that what they did is appreciated, then I’m all for it. VetMotorsports made that happen for me and for ‘my’ Veterans.
