 CHAPTER 5 - GIVING BACK
Chance the Chocolate Labrador – Repo: I served in the U.S. Army Reserves as an Automated Logistical Sergeant Master Gunner (92A201K) from April 2010 to October 2017 and deployed to Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan from August 2013 to July 2014. The question was asked if I would join again if I had a choice. I absolutely would serve again if given the chance. The pride associated with wearing the uniform is indescribable. There's always a mission and each soldier completes that mission. Another question was asked if I would support my child if they decided to join the military. If my daughter were to decide to join the military, I would absolutely support her decision. She’s extremely intelligent and can be an asset to the military. I know what the military can do in regard to personal character and benefits. I will always want my daughter to be taken care of.
Let’s go back in time now. I was born March, 7 1985 at exactly 5:08pm. My childhood is what most would consider above average. My parents were married. I had a younger sister (four years difference), two dogs, a cat, a bird, and a fish. In case you’re interested, their names were Sugar and Pepper (Catahoula dogs), Midnight was the cat, Ollie was the parakeet and of course Mr. Fish was...well, the fish.
