My wife I love because she has been through my side since day one. I know she would never hurt me. When we go out she helps keep an eye out so it helps me relax and not be so stressed out in public. She also looks for the correct type of place to sit.
I spend a lot of time in the wood shop at the local 50+ center. There are normally only one or two people in there at a time. I am also the Executive Director of a nonprofit for returning SPECOPS Soldiers so we can help them to fit back into civilian life. So, I actually spend a lot of time on the phone helping out other Soldiers so they don't end up running into some of the same issues that other SPECOPS have had to deal with. I also spend a lot of my time with Remmy now that he is terminal, letting him go and have some fun during the day.
I had to have my stomach rebuilt due to an IED blast injury that never properly healed. It caused me to have a horrible case of acid reflux, which I had for several years, would never go away, and just continued to get worse. I also deal with migraines that I have to take shots for them because the pain is so bad. I have a knee brace that I wore for a few years until I was able to straighten it. At one time I was on 19 different medications a day that I was taking an average of 35 times a day. I now take a total of seven pills, all for maintenance. I also have a very bad case of PTSD and anxiety. I have a rating of 70% just for the PTSD alone.
I found Remmy at a groomer near where I used to live when he was only six weeks old. They had put a sign in the window and when I saw him that was history. His mother had quit nursing and I had to bottle feed him for a while. He became very bonded with me since I kept him with me 24/7 and was maintaining a proper feeding schedule. He was a great little puppy at the point in time. I was able to potty train him in around four days. At about six months old I took him to a Basic Obedience class with the top trainer in my part of the country. I found out later that she was the youngest in the country to have certification for a K-9 judge at 27. At this time he was
