Southern Citizens Media and Information Literacy and Digital

Literacy Status

Regarding the MIL and DL status classified by 2,494 Southern citizens, the 3

key competencies have an average score that including 70.5 points in “Access”,

64.4 points in “Evaluate” and 64.2 points in “Create”. An average score of three
elements are 66.3 points or ranked into Intermediate class that can explained,

Thais can appropriately use and consume the information from media in daily
life. And result of the Digital Literacy survey that shown, citizens of Thailand have

average score 62.7 points or rank into Basic class that can explained citizens of
Thailand have technology usage skill in basic level. According to the basic skill

and knowledge, the possibility of illegal behavior because lack of knowledge that
include ethical knowledge, law knowledge and security knowledge. With Thailand

MIL and DL status, the public sector must collaborate with private sector and
citizens to improving digital competence for creating innovation and transforming

to digital citizenships.
