Spelman Class of ’69 Timeline
1965/66 Freshman Week began on September 7, 1965 for approximately 300 students.
• September 24, 1965, Executive Order 11246 Executive Order 11246 prohibits sex
discrimination by government contractors and requires affirmative action plans for
hiring women.
• October 3, 1965 - Open House for all dormitories and Reception in Morgan Hall Dining
Room.
