The same mechanisms allow LFB to create a more mindful consciousness. LFB runs during LFMs. As the user progresses through LFMs which teach mindfulness skills, mindful top-down processes are added as “features” to the LFB meta-quale. Now, when the user observes LFB, these top-down processes are triggered. It is in this way, LFMs literally build a more mindful conscious state, a state which is triggered through the use of LFB. Due to new LFB “features,” experienced users need not sync their breathing for LFB to create a mindful state of consciousness. Users are simply more mindful whenever they are using Lightflow, regardless of whether or not they realize that they are meditating.
LIGHTFLOW AND THE AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM
Lightflow affects the body in addition to the mind. LFB calms and balances the autonomic nervous system, increasing calmness and reducing stress. Additionally, Lightflow encourages the proper level of stimulation associated with with the psychological concept of being in the zone. This element of Lightflow is likely the easiest to research as it requires minimal user training and the effects can be observed immediately.
