**HOT OFF THE PRESS**
The Soldier Support Institute, Noncommissioned Officer Academy located on Fort Jackson, SC
now conducts a two-phased course for our 42A and 36B CMFs attending ALC and SLC.
What does this mean?
Phase I (ATRRS reservation) will be completed virtually at home station. Student-NCOs must have
access to a computer with microphone & camera capabilities. This is the student-NCOs place of
duty and must be present during the entirety of the 3-Day course!! As usual, Small Group Leaders
will contact NCOs 45 days prior to the Phase I school start date informing of the requirements and
communications checks prior to the official start of the course. Ensure that non-army.mil email
addresses if annotated on your ATRRS account are checked.
A few reasons a Student-NCO may be dis-enrolled from Phase I:
* NO-SHOW on DAY 1
* Failure of course requirements as presented in the NCOA Student Guide and/or the Individual
Student Assessment Plan (missing more than 2hrs of course curriculum, missing roll-
calls/accountability checks, incomplete/not completing mandatory assignments, and/or failure to
post in discussion boards). This list is not all-inclusive.
NOTE: AR 350-1 still applies to virtual attendance just as resident attendance, meaning Temporary
Profiles (example) are not authorized to attend the course. Any personnel identified on Temporary
Profile after start of course will result in a "MEDICAL DISMISSAL".
Phase II: Upon successful completion of Phase I, during your respective follow-on Phase II course
date and NCOA location, you will conduct TDY travel and complete Phase II of the course
curriculum. If scheduled to report to Fort Jackson for Phase II, do not show up to SSI, NCOA for
Phase I.
Follow on questions or concerns can be addressed to the SSI, NCOA Deputy Commandant, MSG
