The Updated Handbook of Transfers
Why use the Handbook of Transfers?
This new Handbook of Transfers is aimed
at the professional caregiver who would like
to know more about how they can guide and assist people with a variety of daily movements.
The techniques illustrated within the new Handbook have been tested against the most up to date research and evidence on physical loads and biomechanics. It also pays particular attention to the link between quality of care, quality of work and the prevention of pressure damage to the person requiring assistance.
The content of the practical part of the new handbook reflects the continued evolution of what is considered safe practice based on new research evidence and feedback from the field. Some new tools and techniques have been included, where they meet the national and international standards, concerning physical loads.
Arjo will be offering a new Handbook of Transfers Training course, where delegates will have the unique opportunity to understand the theoretical principles underpinning the development of the Handbook and practical application of the techniques, whilst also obtaining their own personal copy of this invaluable publication.
